The Automobilmesse Erfurt is the largest automobile show in Central Germany, held annually at Messe Erfurt in Erfurt, Germany. Organized by SP Veranstaltungs- und Handels GmbH since its inception in 2007, the event attracts thousands of visitors each year and serves as a key gathering for car enthusiasts and professionals in the automotive industry.
The fair takes place over three days in January, with the next edition scheduled from Friday, 29 January to Sunday, 31 January 2027. Previous editions have occurred in early January or late April, depending on the year.
The Automobilmesse is divided into four main sections: Automobiles, Tuning, Motorsports, and Classic Cars. These sections showcase a wide range of vehicles, including electric cars, compact cars, luxury sedans, SUVs, sports cars, and eco-efficient family vehicles, as well as accessories, car insurance, and financing options.
A special focus of the event is on the Tuning section, which highlights individual vehicle design, performance enhancement, and optimization. This area features products from independent tuning firms and manufacturers of exhaust systems, rims, body parts, suspensions, car audio, and engine tuning.
The event provides opportunities for expert discussions and direct product comparisons, making it a valuable source of information for purchasing decisions. Additional activities include shows, presentations, discussion forums, and games, offering an experience suitable for the whole family.
