Data & Content Policy

1. What this policy covers

How ExpoLocator.com (GLOBAL contour) collects, places, updates and removes catalog information about organisations, events and organisers.

2. Origin of catalog data

Catalog entries are built from public sources (official event websites, exhibitor lists, public registries) and from submissions by companies and organisers. Every imported fact carries a source and a fetch date where available. We prioritise organisation-level data: legal names, domains, corporate contacts, activities, event participation — not personal profiles.

3. Report incorrect information

Every catalog page offers “Report incorrect information”. Submissions are logged and reviewed by an administrator; corrections are applied to the existing card — we do not create competing copies.

4. Claim this page

An authorised representative can claim an existing card (“Manage this page”). Claims are verified before an account is linked. A claimed card can update its details; automatic imports respect verified/owner data and do not overwrite it blindly.

5. Updates and freshness

Event information (dates, venue, status, official URL) is periodically re-checked; statuses used: scheduled / completed / cancelled / postponed. Past events remain in the catalog as historical records where data exists.

6. Removal requests

We distinguish: (a) organisation data — business information about a legal entity; (b) personal data of an individual; (c) commercial/historical event information. Removal requests are handled per applicable law and the nature of the data; we do not promise automatic deletion of every mention. Personal data found in catalog data is removed or minimised on request (see the Privacy Policy).

7. No invented data

We do not publish invented analytics, fabricated participant lists or “potential customers” — if data exists, we show it; if not, we show nothing.
